Proactive Practices
Foster collaboration among educators to better understand students’ diverse educational needs. By working together, teachers can share innovative teaching strategies, identify common challenges, and develop tailored solutions that address the unique learning styles and backgrounds of each student. This collaborative approach not only enhances the educational experience but also builds a supportive community of educators committed to continuous improvement and student success.
The Compass Approach to Preventative Practices
Co-Teaching Training
Co-Teaching is an educational method that involves two certified teachers working together in a shared classroom. They work together to plan lessons, deliver instruction, assess student progress and manage activities. The specialists at Compass provide trainings to partner teachers prior to the Co-Teaching experience, and continues with check-ins and classroom observation.
Co-Teaching Coaching
Throughout Co-Teaching training, our coaches will provide ongoing support. We accomplish this for our partners by developing solid relationships, as well as structuring protocols for proper planning and instruction delivery.
Classroom Management
Classroom management is essential for maximizing instructional time while creating a student-centered environment. This helps students feel safe, engaged and empowered to reach their full potential inside and outside of the classroom. The team at Compass provides a variety of training opportunities, laying the foundation through carefully planned processes and procedures to ensure fair access to learning, ultimately helping teachers create a rich classroom environment.
Collaborative Culture
In today’s schools there is a need for more engaging and meaningful learning experience. Teachers are expected to motivate, encourage, excite, energize and promote the most reluctant of learners. But they can’t do this by themselves. It requires the involvement of everyone connected to the school system, from the students to its community members. Compass wants to help lead educational communities through the discussions necessary to inspire a spirit of cooperation, mutual respect and shared responsibility.
