HELPING LITTLE LEARNERS

Growing Together

Early intervention is a voluntary, family-focused service for children from birth to 36 months with developmental delays. We'll provide support and training to help families understand and address their child's needs. Services include coordination, special instruction, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology.

Eligibility Guidelines

All children under 36 months are eligible for screening.

Additional services are based on the screening results and the family's wishes.

What To Expect

Support

You and your provider will work with your child to increase participation in everyday activities. Your provider will engage with you and your child to give you new ideas and show you ways to support your child.

Coaching & Learning

The provider, guided by the IFSP team's child outcomes and family priorities, coaches you on strategies to support your child's learning. You can practice these strategies with the provider's support, ask questions, and receive suggestions for additional helpful resources. The provider will help you integrate these strategies into daily life with your child.

Focus & Follow-Up

The provider will ask about changes in your child and how things have been since the last visit. Together, you'll set a focus for the visit at the start of the session. Then, you'll review notes from the previous meeting and share any new information about your child and family.
