HALF-DAY WORKING SESSIONS

Literacy Framework Workshops at TIE26

Two half-day, hands-on workshops are scheduled across both days of the conference—giving educators the flexibility to attend one or both. Designed for real planning, collaboration, and district-level literacy work. ELA-SD grantee districts may use grant funds to support attendance.
These workshops are structured as facilitated working sessions, providing guided time to plan, write, and refine key components of a district or building-level Literacy Framework.

Grant & Funding Information

ELA-SD Grantee Districts:

We have confirmed with the South Dakota Department of Education that ELA-SD grantee districts may use grant funds to support staff attendance at the TIE Conference for these literacy workshops.

Attendance at the TIE Conference does not replace the required SD Literacy Conference in June in Mitchell, which remains a requirement for all ELA-SD grantee schools.

Districts that need to discuss reallocating grant funds to support attendance may contact doeliteracy@state.sd.us to explore potential budget adjustments.
